Privacy Policy for Weight Manager
Effective date: September 3, 2026
Last updated: September 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Weight Manager (package name sms.weight_manager) handles information. Weight Manager is developed and published by Sayed Mohammad Sadat ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our").
By using Weight Manager, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Weight Manager Android application. It does not govern third-party applications, websites, advertising providers, email services, social networks, app stores, or device services that you may access through the App. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. Summary of Our Data Practices
- No account or sign-in is required.
- Weight Manager does not operate a server that receives your height, weight, BMI, age, or gender.
- Saved height, weight, BMI, and record date information is stored locally on your device.
- The App displays ads using Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares certain device, advertising, usage, diagnostic, and network information as described below.
- We do not sell your height, weight, BMI, age, gender, or saved history.
3. Information Processed by the App
3.1 Body and wellness information
To provide BMI and weight-management features, the App allows you to enter or select information such as height, weight, age, and gender. The App calculates results such as BMI, BMI category, estimated ideal weight, and estimated excess weight.
If you choose to save a result, the App stores the following information in its private local database on your device:
- height;
- weight;
- calculated BMI; and
- the day and month associated with the saved record.
Age and gender selections are not saved in the history database. The Developer does not receive or have access to the body and wellness information stored by the App, and the App does not provide that information to Google AdMob.
3.2 App preferences
The App stores preferences such as your selected language, theme, and whether the introductory screens have been viewed. These preferences are stored locally so the App can remember your settings.
3.3 Information you provide when contacting us
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any information you choose to include. Providing this information is voluntary. Please do not send medical records or other highly sensitive information by email.
4. Advertising and Automatically Collected Information
Weight Manager uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner, interstitial, and app-open advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may automatically collect or receive the following categories of information:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of a device;
- App interactions, such as app launches, ad views, taps, clicks, and video views;
- Diagnostic and performance information, such as app or SDK launch time, crash or hang information, and energy usage; and
- Device and account identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID, app set ID, and, where applicable, other identifiers associated with the device.
This information may be used to provide and measure ads, perform analytics, limit repeated ads, prevent invalid traffic and fraud, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. Depending on your region, settings, and consent choices, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited. Advertising data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Google's handling of information is governed by its own policies. For more information, please review:
- Google Privacy Policy;
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services;
- Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure; and
- Google's ad technology partners information.
5. Consent and Privacy Choices
Where required by applicable law, Google’s User Messaging Platform may present a consent or privacy message before advertising data is used for certain purposes. Consent choices may be stored locally on your device. If the App displays a Privacy Choices or Manage Consent control, you can use it to review or change your choices.
You may also control or reset your Android advertising ID through your device privacy settings and manage Google ad personalization through Google My Ad Center. These controls do not prevent all advertising-related processing; for example, limited data may still be used to deliver ads, measure performance, prevent fraud, or meet legal requirements.
6. How We Use Information
Information is used for the following purposes:
- to calculate and display BMI and general weight-related estimates;
- to save and display history when you choose to save a result;
- to remember App preferences;
- to display, measure, and support advertising;
- to detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and invalid advertising traffic;
- to respond to support requests and feedback; and
- to comply with applicable laws and enforce legal rights.
7. When Information Is Shared
We do not share your locally entered body and wellness information with advertisers or other third parties. Other information may be shared in these limited circumstances:
- Advertising providers: Google and participating advertising partners process the information described in Section 4 to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud.
- At your direction: If you use the share, email, social-media, website, or app-store links, the information you choose to send or the page you visit is handled by the selected third-party service.
- Legal and safety reasons: Information may be disclosed if reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or to protect users, the public, the Developer, or legal rights.
- Business transfer: If the App or its assets are transferred to another owner, information under our control may be transferred subject to appropriate notice and applicable law.
8. Device Storage, Backups, and Security
Saved results and preferences are held in the App’s private storage and protected by the security controls of the Android operating system. Depending on your Android device and backup settings, the operating system may include App data in a device or cloud backup. Such backups are controlled by your device platform and account settings, not by the Developer.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the App’s design, including local app-sandbox storage and encrypted transmission by the advertising SDK. However, no storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
- Saved history: Retained on your device until you delete an individual record, use the App’s Delete history feature, clear the App’s data in Android settings, or uninstall the App. Copies may remain temporarily in device backups until those backups expire or are deleted under the platform provider’s rules.
- Preferences: Retained on your device until changed, App data is cleared, or the App is uninstalled.
- Consent choices: Retained by Google’s consent technology as needed to remember your selection, until changed, reset, or removed according to the SDK and device settings.
- Advertising data: Retained by Google and its advertising partners according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
- Support emails: Retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve the request, maintain appropriate support records, and comply with legal obligations. You may ask us to delete a support message unless retention is legally required.
Weight Manager does not create user accounts, so there is no App account to delete. To remove locally saved information, use the deletion controls described above. For information held by Google, use Google’s privacy controls or contact Google under its privacy policy.
10. International Data Processing
Google and advertising partners may process advertising-related information in countries other than the country where you live. Their privacy policies describe the safeguards they use for international transfers. The Developer does not transfer your locally saved body and wellness history to a server.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal data; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal limitations.
Because the Developer cannot access information stored only on your device, you can exercise control over that information directly through the App or Android settings. For support emails or other information directly under our control, send a request to the email address in Section 15. For advertising data controlled by Google or another advertising partner, submit your request directly to that provider.
We do not sell your body and wellness information or support contact information for money. Certain advertising activities may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. Where required, available consent and privacy controls may be used to opt out of those activities.
12. Children’s Privacy
Weight Manager is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. The App’s BMI interpretation uses general adult ranges and should not be used to assess a child’s health. We do not knowingly request a child’s name, contact information, or account information. If you believe that a child has sent personal information to us by email, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
13. Health and Medical Disclaimer
Weight Manager is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. The App provides general informational and wellness estimates only. BMI and ideal-weight estimates have limitations and may not be appropriate for every individual. The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional regarding health concerns or before making significant diet, exercise, or weight-management decisions. Never disregard professional medical advice because of information shown in the App.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, third-party services, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or its store listing where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after an update means the revised policy applies to your subsequent use.
